Job summary

Ascension at Home together with Compassus is seeking a Home Health Occupational Therapist to work one-on-one with patients in their homes, empowering safe, productive daily living. You will assess environments, modify tasks, and utilize equipment to enhance quality of life.

Qualified candidates have a BS in OT, active OT license, valid driver’s license, CPR competency, and 2 years of acute or rehab experience. A supportive, inclusive culture is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy (BSOT) required.
• Current State License as an Occupational Therapist required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• CPR certification on file; TB screen and Hepatitis consent/declination as per policy.
• Two years’ experience as an Occupational Therapist in acute care or rehabilitation setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one occupational therapy to patients in their homes.
• Help patients and families adapt environments and tasks to improve participation in daily activities.
• Assess home safety and educate on use of durable medical equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:
− Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy
− Current State License as an Occupational Therapist
− Valid Driver’s License
− Current CPR, negative TB screen and Hepatitis consent/declination
− Two years’ experience as an Occupational Therapist in an acute care or rehabilitation setting

Knowledge and Skills:
− Therapy skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice
− Good interpersonal skills
− Knowledge of durable medical equipment
