Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation in Portland, Oregon, seeks a Full Time Occupational Therapist to join our outpatient clinic. You will help patients improve daily living skills, cognition, and upper-extremity function within a collaborative neuro-rehabilitation environment.

The role emphasizes goal-directed treatment plans, coordination with PTs, SLPs, and other professionals, and ongoing evaluation to support independence and safety in home/community settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted license as an Occupational Therapist in the practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum of one year of OT experience.
• Knowledge of rehab techniques for complex neurological diagnoses preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds; moving/lifting up to 100 pounds with safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized outpatient occupational therapy services.
• Help patients improve daily living skills, cognition, upper-extremity function, and independence.
• Develop and implement goal-focused treatment plans.
• Collaborate with PTs, SLPs, and other healthcare professionals to achieve outcomes.
• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans.
• Regularly reassess effectiveness and attend staffing meetings/family conferences.
• Conduct discharge evaluations and provide home safety recommendations.
• Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, and family.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to enhance patient outcomes.

What You’ll Do

• Provide individualized occupational therapy services in an outpatient setting
• Help patients improve daily living skills, cognition, upper extremity function, and independence
• Develop and implement goal focused treatment plans
• Collaborate with PTs, SLPs, and other healthcare professionals to achieve meaningful outcomes

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans
• Regularly re-assess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings and family conferences
• Perform discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for home and community safety, and provide referral and education resources
• Communicate patient’s needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, person receiving services and family members
• Communicates with other disciplines to ensure collaboration, coordination of care and enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from a college or university with an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Current, unrestricted license as an Occupational Therapist by state in which practicing
• Current CPR Certification
• A minimum of one year’s work experience as an Occupational Therapist
• Demonstrates knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological diagnoses preferred
• Communicates effectively and professionally in verbal and written interaction
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Moving, lifting, or transferring of patients which may involve lifting of up to 100 pounds following safety procedures
• Duties require fine motor skills , visual acuity, and walking/ standing for extended periods
• Additional physical requirements include: pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently at times
