Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for our outpatient clinic in the Murfreesboro area of Tennessee. The role emphasizes one-on-one patient care, evaluation, and personalized treatment planning to support neurorehabilitation goals.

The candidate will join a collaborative team of therapists with a focus on functional recovery, family engagement, and continuing education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted OT license in the practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum of one year of OT work experience.
• Knowledge of neurorehabilitation techniques is preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans.
• Regularly reassess treatment effectiveness and attend staffing meetings.
• Perform discharge evaluations with home and community safety recommendations.
• Communicate needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, and families.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

What you will do: Responsibilities listed include but not limited to:

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans
• Regularly re-assess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings and family conferences
• Perform discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for home and community safety, and provide referral and education resources
• Communicate patient’s needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, person receiving services and family members
• Communicates with other disciplines to ensure collaboration, coordination of care and enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

What you will need:

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from a college or university with an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Current, unrestricted license as an Occupational Therapist by state in which practicing
• Current CPR Certification
• A minimum of one year’s work experience as an Occupational Therapist
• Demonstrates knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological diagnoses preferred
• Communicates effectively and professionally in verbal and written interaction
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Moving, lifting, or transferring of patients which may involve lifting of up to 100 pounds following safety procedures
• Duties require fine motor skills , visual acuity, and walking/ standing for extended periods
• Additional physical requirements include: pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently at times
