CVHCare in California is seeking an Occupational Therapist for area #46, covering Camarillo, Oxnard, Fillmore, Santa Paula, and surrounding areas.

This Per Diem position involves 6 visits per week, not remote, with compensation starting rates noted on the posting. You will use home items and adaptive equipment to train patients in daily activities and promote wellness.

Qualifications

• Open to entry level or candidates with no prior home health experience.
• Minimum 1 year Occupational Therapy experience desired.
• Valid California Occupational Therapist license.
• Reliable transportation and CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to patients in the home setting.
• Help patients with daily activities such as self-care, dressing, grooming, and bathing.
• Incorporate adaptive equipment and patient/caregiver training for independence.
• Support community reintegration and introduction to leisure activities.

Position Summary:

Occupational therapy focuses on specific daily activities and movements. Utilizing the common items at home or special adaptive equipment, the OT will train the patient or caregiver in activities such as self-grooming, dressing, toileting and bathing. There are also advanced activities such as cooking, housekeeping, laundry and shopping that the OT is particularly geared toward. In addition to the above, the occupational therapy team focuses on community re-integration, as well as introducing patients to leisure-type activities that provide a holistic approach to treating health and wellness.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year Occupational Therapy experience desired
• Open to entry level or candidates with no prior home health experience
• Valid California Occupational Therapist license
• Reliable Transportation
• CPR/BLS Certification
