The role involves evaluating patients, developing/adjusting treatment plans, and collaborating with PTs, SLPs, and nurses to provide holistic care. A Master’s or Doctorate in OT, active licensure, NBCOT, and CPR are required, along with strong communication and empathy.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensure: Active state license or eligible to obtain before start date.
• Certification: NBCOT certification required.
• BLS/CPR: Current CPR certification.
• Strong communication, empathy, and patient-centered care skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patient needs, capabilities, and daily living goals.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans as an expert Occupational Therapist.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on adaptive techniques, safety measures, and home exercise programs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PTs, SLPs, physicians, and nurses) to ensure holistic patient care.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with state guidelines and facility standards.
