Job summary

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Springfield is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team on a full-time days schedule. You will develop individualized treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and coordinate with therapists, nursing, and family members to support recovery in a fast-paced rehabilitation setting.

• Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current and unrestricted Occupational Therapy license in the state where services are rendered.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop a specialized treatment plan to help patients regain well-being through exercise and prosthetic/orthotic devices.
• Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and team; instruct patient’s family or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, professional standards and applicable laws.
• Other duties as assigned.

Facility Name: Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Springfield Position: Occupational Therapist (OT) Shift: Full-time days Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm.

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Springfield is 60-bed Rehabilitation Hospital. Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital provides inpatient rehabilitation services for patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries and other conditions. Our Unit is a very fast-paced yet fun environment with endless opportunities to learn and grow!

How You'll Contribute:

• Develop a specialized treatment plan to help him/her achieve as much as possible in regaining his/her well-being through exercise and/or use of prosthetic and orthotic devices. You and your staff will play an important role in his/her recovery
• Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; instruct patient’s family or nursing staff in follow-through programs
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition
• Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the standards of the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federal laws
• Other duties as assigned
