Schedule: Full Time


Texas Rehabilitation of Plano is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network. The new 40‑bed inpatient rehabilitation facility will open in 2026.


The facility will provide evidence‑based, transformational care for a wide variety of patients.


How you’ll contribute
  • Assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of patients being treated by Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, rehabilitation technicians, and occupational therapy students; may orient staff and students and assume supervisory duties in the absence of the assigned supervisor.
  • Assesses patients’ needs, identifies and initiates appropriate occupational therapy interventions, and works cooperatively with other team personnel to maintain professional practice standards and interdisciplinary teamwork.
  • Observes and evaluates treatment effect, accomplishment of short‑ and long‑term goals, and recommends changes to physicians when needed.
  • Performs assessments and reassessments for each patient, records accurate and timely QI scoring; focuses on adults and geriatric patients in an adult medical rehabilitation program.
  • Assesses pain that interferes with optimal function, implements interventions to reduce pain, and contacts physicians for further intervention when appropriate.
  • Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health‑care errors.
  • Reports patient progress and discharge barriers at each patient team conference.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for
  • Education: Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state where the hospital is located.
  • Experience: Previous experience in all aspects of occupational therapy preferred, but not required.
  • Additional Requirements: Current CPR/BLS certification.
