The Stepping Stones Group in Mt. Prospect, IL is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist for a full-time school-based role.

You will evaluate students, design individualized treatment plans, and deliver OT services to support functional motor, sensory, and self-care skills within the classroom and school environment. You will collaborate with teachers, families, and a multidisciplinary team, participate in IEPs, and maintain thorough documentation, while helping students reach their goals and

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Illinois Occupational Therapist license.
• NBCOT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and educational goals.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services in individual and group settings.
• Support fine motor development, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, self-care, and functional life skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and progress monitoring.
• Maintain accurate documentation, treatment records, and progress reports.
• Recommend adaptive equipment, classroom modifications, and therapeutic strategies to support student success.

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our full-time school-based team in Mt. Prospect, IL. As a member of a collaborative educational team, you will work alongside teachers, families, and other specialists to support students with diverse learning and developmental needs while helping them reach their full potential.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Active Illinois Occupational Therapist license
• NBCOT certification preferred
• Experience working with children and adolescents preferred
• School-based experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
