Job summary

The Bethany Center For Rehabilitation and Healing seeks an Occupational Therapist to join a dedicated team. You will assess patients, develop and manage therapy programs, and educate families on recovery goals.

You will supervise OT Assistants and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited OT program with a professional license.
• Valid state license and registration required.
• Experience supervising OT Assistants.
• Experience in long-term/geriatric care preferred.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple disciplines.
• Professional and confidential practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients and determine rehabilitation needs.
• Establish and administer individualized treatment programs.
• Set realistic goals based on patient capacity and tolerance.
• Document patient condition and progress through notes.
• Educate patients and families on therapy methods.
• Oversee and supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to provide patient-centered care.
• Complete discharge documentation and re-certifications.

Occupational Therapist

The Bethany Center for Rehabilitation and Healingislooking for a talented and hard-working Occupational Therapist to join our ever-growing team.

Responsibilities Include:

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services which includes: providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation. Also, the Occupational Therapist will establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patients capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician. As well, the Occupational Therapist must set realistic and achievable goals for their patients, document and record the patients condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate therapy method.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must have graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapist college or university.
• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• The Occupational Therapist is responsible for overseeing and supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing
• Evaluations, weekly progress notes, re-certification and discharge documentations.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation
• Compliance with confidentiality, HIPPA and Federal Residents Rights.

Shift Needs: Full Time and PRN
