Job summary

Northshore Home Health Care is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide comprehensive patient care in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. You will assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and work with an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

You will supervise Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, technicians, and students, perform reassessments, monitor progress, and refer to physicians when needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold current licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Effective communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop/implement individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Supervise assistants, technicians, and students; conduct reassessments and monitor progress.
• Evaluate treatment effectiveness and progress; manage pain interfering with rehabilitation.

• Assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
• The therapist supervises Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, technicians, and students, while also performing reassessments and monitoring progress.

Experience in adult and geriatric medical rehabilitation is preferred.

• Qualifications include current licensure as an Occupational Therapist, CPR/BLS certification, and effective communication skills.
• Previous experience in all aspects of occupational therapy is desirable.

• Key duties involve evaluating treatment effectiveness, managing pain interfering with rehabilitation, and making appropriate physician referrals.
