Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Lakeway, TX is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist to support inpatient and Day Neuro settings. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, planning and adjusting treatments for stroke, brain injury, SCI and related conditions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and crossing to Day Neuro as needed.

Open to new graduates with rehab experience. You must hold state licensure eligibility, and BLS certification within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist required
• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required
• Acute or IPR experience preferred
• Previous experience with the adult Neuro population preferred

Responsibilities

• Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with patient need and physician direction
• Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline specific therapy services for those assigned patients
• Ensures design of functional treatment programs for effective return to community activities
• Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, coworkers and self
• Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline specific therapy services and design of program delivery

PRN Rate: $60 /hr

Seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist to join our growing multi-disciplinary team in our Inpatient and Day Neuro settings at Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Lakeway. The position will cover our inpatient rehab unit and cross-train to cover in our Day Neuro center and has a minimum requirement of working two days per month and on high need days. The candidate will collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to treat medically complex patients that include stroke, brain injury, SCI, limb loss, and other acquired diagnoses and co-morbidities. We are seeking a candidate with strong neurological rehab skills with previous inpatient experience who works well in a team setting. We are open to recent graduates with previous Rehab experience with a variety of diagnoses including brain injury and stroke.
