Job summary

Occupational Therapist (OT) - Full Time, Part Time, and PRN Positions Available!

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team at Florence Hand Home for Nursing and Rehabilitation in LaGrange, Georgia. As an OT at our facility, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, age-appropriate interventions to patients who require rehabilitative care. You will collaborate with all disciplines to ensure patient goals are met and participate in delivering continuous care, education, and treatments in the patient's home.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

• Direct Patient Care: Assess and manage patient rehabilitative needs, perform routine occupational therapy procedures, and meet established productivity standards.




• Coordination of Services: Develop and revise patient plans of care, coordinate care with the Clinical Supervisor and other team members, and perform other duties as assigned.




• Education: Serve as a patient educator, utilizing verbal and written tools to facilitate learning and promotion of independence during recovery.




• Staff Education and Professional Development: Participate in new employee orientation, attend continuing education and in-services, and remain current in clinical knowledge for patient care.




• Communication and Documentation: Complete skilled intervention documentation within established timeframes, communicate patient status changes, and demonstrate knowledge of regulatory guidelines.




• Regulatory Guidelines: Demonstrate knowledge and application of CMS/State and Joint Commission regulatory guidelines, and complete all documentation within established timeframes.

Required Minimum Education:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):

• NBCOT




• Georgia State Board of Occupational Therapy

Required Minimum Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of Full-time Occupational Therapy experience preferred

Required Minimum Skills:

• Strong critical care assessment and rehabilitative skills




• Positive leadership, problem-solving skills, strong organizational and time management skills




• Strong written and verbal communication skills




• Proficiency in computer-based software and technology
