Job description

Description
Occupational Therapist (OT) — Full-Time

Florence Presbyterian Community | Florence, SC
Faith-Based Nonprofit | In-House Therapy | Full-Time

What Makes Florence Different

At Florence Presbyterian Community, therapy is part of the organization—not outsourced to a contract rehabilitation company.

As part of Presbyterian Communities of South Carolina (PCSC), our in-house rehabilitation model is built around a balance of quality care, employee engagement and development, and long-term sustainability. Therapists have a voice in clinical decisions, collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team, and are trusted to use their professional judgment.

For an OT looking for something different from a traditional contract or for-profit therapy model, Florence offers the opportunity to practice in an environment where quality, autonomy, teamwork, and relationships matter.

Recognized for Quality

Florence Presbyterian Community is a CMS 5-Star rated skilled nursing community and has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a Best Nursing Home for Short-Term Rehabilitation.

Our rehabilitation team has earned a strong reputation in the Florence area, supported by established relationships with local hospitals and a consistently strong short-term rehabilitation census.

What Makes Florence Different
  1. Strong Short-Term Rehabilitation: Treat medically complex older adults with an emphasis on individualized care, functional outcomes, ADLs, and successful transitions.
  2. Full Continuum of Care: Work with residents across short-term rehab, skilled nursing, assisted living, memory care, independent living, and outpatient services—all on one campus.
  3. Shared Decision-Making: Therapy is an active part of the interdisciplinary team. OT, PT, SLP, nursing, social services, and other care partners work together to make decisions that support each resident.
  4. Stable Hours + Flexibility: Our therapists have consistent schedules while also supporting one another when flexibility or coverage is needed. We believe sustainable careers require both reliability and work-life balance.
  5. Clinical Autonomy: Your clinical judgment guides treatment frequency, duration, interventions, and discharge recommendations within our clinical and regulatory standards.
  6. Professional Growth & Mentorship: PCSC supports continuing education, specialty certifications, and strong university partnerships. Our therapists also help develop the next generation of clinicians through Level I and Level II student experiences.
