Job summary

Cypress Pointe Health & Wellness in Houston seeks an Occupational Therapist to provide therapy services to patients in a skilled nursing setting. You will supervise COTAs and Rehab Techs as needed, manage a patient plan of care, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

The role focuses on delivering high-quality geriatric care, collaborating with facility teams, and maintaining professional interactions with clients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.
• Active Texas OT license.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing/Veterans Homes/healthcare as OT Leader.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Net Health Rehab.

Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapy services and related patient care per plan of care.
• Supervise COTAs and Rehab Techs where required; manage case load and coordination with facilities.
• Adhere to state and federal regulations and maintain professional conduct in all interactions.
• Engage with facilities and clients to support quality patient care and rapport.

The Job

Provide Occupational Therapy and related services for patients while maintaining positive levels of interaction with facilities and clients in accordance with the principles and practices of occupational therapy and within community guidelines. Provide quality patient care including ongoing treatment per a plan of care, supervision of COTAs and Rehab Techs (where required) and case management responsibilities. Maintain professional conduct that represents the commitment to quality and service in all interactions with clients, including positive levels of interaction and rapport with facilities and clients. Adhere to all state and federal regulations regarding occupational therapy.

Must haves

• Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing/ Veterans Homes/ or healthcare as a OT Leader
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
• Proficiency in Net Health Rehab as the primary Operating Software.
• Valid Occupational Therapist state license. (Texas)
• Experience in health care / hospitality or other related field.
• Possess a passion for working in a retirement community with the geriatric population.
