Job summary

Hireology is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our in-house rehab team in Texas. You will evaluate residents, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to maximize independence and safety in daily living activities.

Your role includes documenting progress, adjusting interventions, and educating patients and families while upholding all regulatory requirements and quality standards in a skilled nursing facility

Qualifications

• Active Texas OT license in good standing.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of OT treatment practices and documentation systems.
• Ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and assess impact on daily occupations and quality of life.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Modify interventions based on patient response and goals.

Join Our Team as a Full-Time or PRN Occupational Therapist (OT)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals. In this role, you will provide person-centered care focused on improving residents’ independence, safety, and quality of life through meaningful daily activities and functional outcomes.

Your Impact as an Occupational Therapist (OT)

• Consult with patients to evaluate their physical condition and its impact on daily occupations, well-being, and quality of life

• Assess and interpret patient evaluations and test results

• Develop individualized treatment plans using a variety of therapeutic techniques to maximize performance in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)

• Assess patients’ home and living environments and recommend modifications based on their needs and capabilities

• Recommend adaptive equipment and provide training to support independence and safety

• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care

• Monitor patient response to treatment and modify interventions as clinically appropriate in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team

• Provide clinical education and support to patients, family members, and caregivers

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality patient care

• Complete documentation thoroughly and timely in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations

• Comply with all applicable rules, regulations, and procedures

• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy license

• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred

• Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices

• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred

• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs

• Strong communication, collaboration, and clinical decision-making skills
