Job summary

Aura Care Group seeks an Occupational Therapist to evaluate residents, develop treatment plans, and provide OT services in Minnesota. You will perform therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and adaptive equipment recommendations to promote independence and safety.

Work with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to ensure coordinated care and document progress per guidelines. Minnesota OT licensure and strong communication are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Must hold an active OT license in Minnesota.
  • Graduate from an accredited occupational therapy program.
  • Strong knowledge of OT principles, techniques, and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate residents’ functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide OT treatments including therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and adaptive equipment recommendations.
  • Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries per guidelines.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapy staff for coordinated care.
  • Educate residents, families, and staff on therapy interventions and safety.
  • Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans to achieve goals.
  • Maintain professional standards per Minnesota OT Board rules.

Occupational Therapist (OT)
Position Summary:

The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for evaluating, planning, and providing occupational therapy services to individuals in accordance with federal and state regulations, professional standards of practice, and licensure requirements. The OT works with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to promote independence, safety, and improved quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate residents’ functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide direct occupational therapy treatments, including therapeutic exercises, ADL (Activities of Daily Living) training, and adaptive equipment recommendations
  • Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapy staff to ensure coordinated, resident-centered care
  • Educate residents, families, and staff on therapy interventions, adaptive techniques, and safe practices
  • Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve goals
  • Maintain professional and ethical standards, including adherence to Minnesota Board of Occupational Therapy Practice requirements
Qualifications:
  • Current and active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Minnesota
  • Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program
  • Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles, techniques, and equipment
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Previous experience in long-term care or rehabilitation setting preferred
