Job summary

Sage Rehabilitation Outpatient in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking PRN Occupational Therapists to support outpatient and day neuro patients. You will assess functional status, contribute to plan of care, and collaborate with the health care team.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as an Occupational Therapist in Louisiana and registered by the AOTA.
• CPR certification is required.
• Patient service oriented with good time management.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician in evaluating the patient’s functional status and occupational therapy needs and support the plan of care.
• Provide skilled OT services to outpatient and day neuro patients in coordination with the care team.
• Prepare written summaries for the physician at intervals and assist in setting rehab goals.

Requirements:

• Must be currently licensed by the state of Louisiana and registered by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• CPR certification
• Patient service oriented and time management skills.

Job Duties:

• Assist the physician in evaluating the patient’s functional status and occupational therapy needs, and assist in the development of the plan of care
• Provide services within the scope of practice as defined by the state laws governing the practice of occupational therapy, in the accordance with the plan of care, and in coordination with other members of the health care team
• Provide skilled Occupational Therapy to outpatient and day neuro patients and collaborate within the physical, occupational, speech therapy and social work team.
• Prepare written summary to the physician at least every 90 days
• Set rehab goals for patients
• Guide the patient in the use of therapeutic, creative and self-care activities for the purpose of improving function.
