Job summary

Therapy 2000 is seeking an Occupational Therapist specializing in pediatrics to provide home-based therapy in the Northeast Dallas area. Join a mission-driven team delivering Speech, Occupational, and Physical Therapy to children in their homes, focused on growth, development, and family collaboration.

You will evaluate, plan, and implement pediatric OT services, coordinating with physicians and caregivers to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active Texas OT license.
• 3+ years pediatric OT.
• Home-health experience.
• Feeding therapy certification or experience.
• Strong reliability and flexibility.
• Willing to travel between patient visits.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Occupational Therapy evaluations using standardized tests.
• Develop and implement treatment plans per physician orders.
• Develop home exercise programs with patients’ caregivers.
• Coordinate care between providers and disciplines.
• Meet deadlines for chart updates, progress summaries and logs.
• Attend agency meetings to align with expectations and standards.
• Perform duties in compliance with agency policies and home-health regulations.
• Adhere to laws and ethics specific to pediatric home-health OT.

Qualifications

What you’ll need:

• A current/active license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Texas.
• An innovative spirit complemented by a demonstrated history of reliability.
• Flexibility to shift resources and priorities as necessary, based on the needs of the business.
• 3+ years as a pediatric Occupational Therapist
• Experience in a home-health setting.
• Experience or certifications in feeding therapy or other clinical specialties (high-risk infant, etc.)

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

• Perform comprehensive Occupational Therapy evaluations, using standardized tests to determine patients’ needs for therapy.
• Use your clinical judgment to develop and implement relevant treatment plans aligned with physicians’ orders.
• Develop home exercise programs in partnership with patients’ caregivers.
• Act as a vital member of your patients’ medical neighborhoods, collaborating and coordinating care between various providers and disciplines.
  Complete a minimum number of patient visits on a weekly basis as required by the agency.
• Meet deadlines for completion of patient chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and all other paperwork as needed.
• Meet with agency personnel as necessary to maintain understanding of expectations and standards related to delivering high-quality patient care.
• Perform all duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all rules, regulations, codes of ethics, guidelines and federal, state and local laws applicable to home-health pediatric occupational therapy.
