Job summary

Therapy 2000 is seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join a home-based therapy team in Addison, TX. The role focuses onEvaluations, treatment planning, and caregiver collaboration, delivering high-quality care in the child’s natural environment.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, manage patient visits, and participate in ongoing education and policy compliance to support children’s growth and development at home.

Qualifications

• Current active license to practice Occupational Therapy in Texas.
• 3+ years as a pediatric Occupational Therapist.
• Experience in home-health settings.
• Experience or certifications in feeding therapy or other clinical specialties.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive Occupational Therapy evaluations using standard tests to determine therapy needs.
• Develop and implement treatment plans aligned with physician orders.
• Create home exercise programs with caregivers.
• Collaborate with other providers to coordinate care.
• Complete a minimum number of patient visits weekly as required by the agency.
• Meet deadlines for chart updates, progress notes, and logs.
• Engage with agency staff to align on expectations and standards for pediatric home-health care.
• Adhere to agency policies, procedures, and applicable laws.

Qualifications

What you’ll need:

• A current/active license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Texas.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

• Perform comprehensive Occupational Therapy evaluations, using standardized tests to determine patients’ needs for therapy.
• Use your clinical judgment to develop and implement relevant treatment plans aligned with physicians’ orders.
• Develop home exercise programs in partnership with patients’ caregivers.
• Act as a vital member of your patients’ medical neighborhoods, collaborating and coordinating care between various providers and disciplines.
  Complete a minimum number of patient visits on a weekly basis as required by the agency.
• Meet deadlines for completion of patient chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and all other paperwork as needed.
• Meet with agency personnel as necessary to maintain understanding of expectations and standards related to delivering high-quality patient care.
• Perform all duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all rules, regulations, codes of ethics, guidelines and federal, state and local laws applicable to home-health pediatric occupational therapy.
