Sterling Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center is a 164-bed subacute care and skilled nursing facility located in Media, PA. This per diem Occupational Therapist position offers opportunities to develop individualized care plans and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires graduation from an ACOTE-accredited OT program and PA licensure, plus strong organizational and communication skills to ensure high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an OT program accredited by ACOTE or successors.
• Licensed to practice occupational therapy in Pennsylvania.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized plans of care based on initial evaluation findings.
• Refer to other disciplines as needed to address patient needs.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants, students, and support staff per state requirements.
• Perform other duties to provide quality care to residents.

Shift Type:

• Per Diem

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Based on findings from the initial evaluation, develop an individualized plan of care to facilitate optimal performance using standardized tests and measures as evidence for improvement.

2. Identify the need for and make a referral to other disciplines to address the comprehensive needs of the patient

3. Provide supervision for Occupational Therapy Assistants, students, and support personnel in accordance with state license requirements and professional standards

4. Perform other duties as assigned and required to provide quality care to residents.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must have graduated from an Occupational Therapist curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), or its successor organizations.

2. Must be licensed in the state of Pennsylvania

3. Requires good organizational and time management skills

4. Requires good verbal and written communication skills
