Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health seeks an Occupational Therapist for St. Francis Downtown to enhance patients' ability to perform daily tasks and work-related activities.

You will conduct assessments, plan treatments based on physician referrals, and document progress across outpatient, inpatient, pediatric, and off-site settings. The role requires state licensure as an Occupational Therapist and basic life support, with experience in diverse care environments.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of current practice.
• BLS Basic Life Support certification (preferred or required within specified timeframe).
• 2 years of experience in a similar setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Review physician referrals and patient medical history to determine therapy needs.
• Conduct and document patient evaluations, re-evaluations, and treatment plans according to department protocols.
• Administer prescribed occupational therapy treatments and create custom equipment for individual needs.
• Develop programs focusing on functional skills, vocational training, daily activities, and motor skills.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment goals and plans as necessary, participating in patient care conferences.
• Educate patients and families on at-home treatment procedures.
