Job summary

Eliot Community Human Services, Inc. seeks an Occupational Therapist to join the ACCS team, providing person-centered interventions for adults with serious mental illness in residential or community settings.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team to assess goals, support daily interventions, and promote client independence, educating clients and families while coordinating with medical and psychiatric services.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current OTR/L license from MA
• Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy preferred
• Experience working with adults with mental illness
• Valid Massachusetts driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Evaluate clients to identify functional goals and interventions
• Support staff in addressing evolving needs and providing daily interventions
• Offer training and guidance to promote client independence
• Observe and evaluate clients, collaborating with the team on actions
• Educate clients, families, and supports about the client’s condition and needs
• Facilitate communication within the team and with external supports
• Participate in assessments and treatment plan development
