Job summary

Leisure Chateau Premier Subacute Care & Rehab Center in New Jersey seeks an Occupational Therapist to organize and conduct therapy programs, directing residents’ participation to restore and enhance daily function. The role focuses on adapting tasks to individual abilities and improving cognitive and motor skills.

TheOT will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, provide training to staff, and ensure high-quality, compassionate care in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited and licensed.
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure in the state.
• Registered and/or eligible for certification by the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents, set goals and implement treatment plans with documentation.
• Design and fit adaptive devices and train residents in their use.
• Select activities aligned with each resident's abilities and interests.
• Collaborate with rehab team to determine appropriate activity programs.
• Instruct residents in skills for participation and monitor progress.
• Attend care conferences and contribute to team training.
