Job summary

Legacy Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to assess, plan, and implement personalized treatment programs. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, supervise support personnel, and strive for optimal outcomes for each patient.

Responsibilities include evaluating abilities, setting goals, adapting home/work environments, fabricating splints, documenting care, and educating patients and families. Licensure as an OT and BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Education as required by licensure.
• Ability to supervise OTA/COTA, aides and students.
• Strong organizational skills for program development.
• Experience with home program development and family training.
• Knowledge of DME selection and use.
• Computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ abilities and limitations.
• Establish treatment goals based on evaluation findings and referrals.
• Assess home and work environments and recommend ergonomic adaptations.
• Administer therapy using established plans and techniques.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and coordinate delivery.
• Re-evaluate patients and provide discharge recommendations.
• Collaborate with therapists from other disciplines.
• Fabricate splints as required.
• Maintain timely documentation of patient care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapy goals and home programs.
• Supervise care activities by aides and students.
