Job summary

Legacy Health seeks an Occupational Therapist to assess, plan, and implement personalized treatment programs aimed at achieving the best outcomes for patients. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, supervise support personnel, and contribute to evidence-based therapy.

Responsibilities include evaluating abilities, setting goals, coordinating care, and education for patients and families. Licensure and BLS certification are required; salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Able to render patient services and supervise OTA/COTA, Therapy Aides and students.
• Excellent organizational skills to facilitate program development.
• Demonstrates competency across ages, growth and development needs.
• Skilled in home program development and family training.
• Knowledge in appropriate selection and use of DME (adaptive equipment).
• Computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ abilities and limitations.
• Establish treatment goals based on evaluation and referrals; consider neuromuscular movement, ADLs, cognition, vocational abilities and more.
• Assess home/work environments and recommend ergonomic adaptations.
• Administer therapy per established plans with appropriate procedures and equipment.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and coordinate delivery.
• Re-evaluate patients regularly and provide discharge recommendations.
• Collaborate and co-treat with therapists from other disciplines.
• Fabricate splints as required.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of patient care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on goals, methods, and home programs.
• Supervise aides, assistants, attendants, and volunteers.
