Job summary

Pella Regional Health Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate, plan, direct and administer therapy modalities as prescribed by a physician. You will administer treatments to restore function and assist patients in reaching maximum performance while living within their capabilities.

You will coordinate staff duties, participate in CQI and budget processes, and ensure accurate and timely patient billing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, direct and administer occupational therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician.
• Administer treatments and physical agents as prescribed by referring physician to restore function and prevent disability after injury, disease or physical disability.
• Assist patients to reach maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
• Coordinate, delegate and supervise responsibilities assigned to supportive staff.
• Participate in operational aspects of the department and maintain performance improvement activities including CQI.
• Provide input in budgeting, assist in evaluating department performance versus budget controls and take action to stay within budget guidelines.
• Ensure patient charges are accurate and entered on a timely basis.
