Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking an occupational therapist to deliver and supervise OT services. You will evaluate patients, develop plans of care, and maximize functional outcomes within a team-based setting.

Coverage may include inpatient and outpatient OT at Ballard and Issaquah sites, with pediatric patients as needed. Upon hire you must hold a Washington OT license and a current BLS through the American Heart Association.

Qualifications

• Graduate OT program completion
• Active Washington OT license on hire
• BLS certification on hire (AHA)

Responsibilities

• Deliver and supervise occupational therapy services.
• Perform evaluations and develop plans of care to maximize functional outcomes.
• Reassess treatment results and participate in discharge planning.
• Provide care within a team-based approach with relevant disciplines.
• Possible pediatric/adolescent orthopedic patient care; inpatient and outpatient coverage at Ballard and Issaquah clinics.

Description

The occupational therapist (OT) delivers and supervises others in the delivery of occupational therapy services. Upon referral, the OT performs evaluations and develops individual plans of care to maximize functional outcomes, implements the plans of care, reassesses treatment results, and actively participates in discharge planning. Services are delivered within the framework of a team approach, including appropriate disciplines, significant others and the patient. Provision of care for pediatric adolescent orthopedic patients may be required. Coverage of both inpatient and outpatient services may be required at the Ballard and Issaquah clinics. These services are delivered in compliance with ethical standards, policies and procedures, national and professional standards, state practice acts, and current accepted state of the art practice.
