Job summary

Evolve Therapy Services is seeking an Occupational Therapist for an in-house Skilled Nursing Facility in Key West, FL. The role involves planning, directing OT services, and ensuring compliance with standards to maintain high-quality resident care.

Responsibilities include screening, evaluation, treatment planning, scheduling, documentation, and supervision of COTA; flexible full-time/part-time/PRN options with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have an Occupational Therapy degree.
• Active OT license in practicing state(s).
• Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Screen residents to determine best intervention.
• Evaluate residents and develop treatment plans with goals.
• Interpret and communicate findings to residents, families, and team.
• Establish individual therapy schedules with team input.
• Conduct therapy per plan and document/bill OT services.
• Perform additional duties to effectively treat patients.
• Oversee COTA and ensure documentation and reimbursement accuracy.

Job Position: Occupational Therapist for an In-house Skilled Nursing Facility

Job Type: Full Time, Part Time, or PRN

Job Purpose: To plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Job Functions:

• Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient

• Evaluate residents to inform and develop treatment plans; establish short- and long-term goals and methods to achieve goals

• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members

• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members

• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services

• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients

• Oversee COTA as needed and ensure all documentation and treatments are carried out with clinical excellence and proper reimbursement practices are being followed

Education & Qualifications:

• Degree in Occupational Therapy

• MUST have an Active Occupational Therapy license in practicing state(s)

• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification
