Job summary

People Well Staffing in Peridot, AZ is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. The role focuses on evaluating and treating patients to improve activities of daily living, safety, strength, and independence within licensure scope.

You will develop individualized plans of care, implement adaptive strategies and therapeutic activities, monitor progress, educate patients and families, and document outcomes while collaborating

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active AZ OT or COTA license in good standing.
• Current BLS/CPR certification as required by the employer.
• Strong clinical, communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
• Experience in the applicable setting preferred.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients to improve ADLs, safety, strength, coordination, and quality of life.
• Develop or carry out individualized plans of care within licensure scope.
• Recommend or implement adaptive strategies and therapeutic activities as appropriate.
• Monitor progress and communicate changes to the care team.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment strategies and safety.
• Complete timely documentation and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
