Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and work under the supervision of the lead Therapist. You will serve diverse populations from infants to geriatrics across multiple diagnoses in a hospital setting.

Minimum requirements include an accredited OT degree, SC licensure, NBCOT, and BLS certification. New grads are welcome; hospital experience is a plus.

• A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current South Carolina licensure and NBCOT certification.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) or Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• New graduates or less than 1 year of applicable experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats patients for Occupational Therapy needs.
• Develop treatment plans based on assessment.
• Under the general supervision of the lead Therapist, functions as a staff therapist.
• Serves a broad patient population from infant to geriatric with various diagnoses.
• Provides services inpatient or outpatient throughout the hospital system.
