Job summary

Children's Hospital Colorado seeks an Occupational Therapist II to deliver comprehensive OT services for inpatients and/or outpatients, including evaluation, treatment, and documentation. Job description

The Occupational Therapist II provide occupational therapy services including evaluation, treatment, follow up and documentation using general competencies for inpatients and/or outpatients referred to the OT department. Provides guidance for occupational therapy intern students and therapy aides/assistants with specific patients or tasks. Provides continuous consultation and education to families. The Occupational Therapist II successfully fulfills the requirements of a specified area or completes and maintains the Career Advancement Program (CAP), demonstrating both excellence in job performance and on-going contributions in service, education and research, and professional development and leadership.

  • Location: Telstar Occupational Therapy
  • Job Details: 0.5 FTE; 20 hours/week - eligible for benefits
  • Shift: 2 10 hour days, with days flexible Monday- Saturday. Hours are 8am- 6pm.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with the family, physicians, schools, and other providers to ensure continuum of care for the child and optimal clinical services.
  • Completes written documentation in accordance with department standards for format, location and time frames.
  • Independently evaluates children from birth to 21 years of age, with a variety of diagnosis, in specialized programs, on inpatient and/or outpatient units. Incorporates principles of cultural-competence and family-centered care into clinical services.
  • Assists in achieving departmental financial budget targets
  • Demonstrates professional behaviors; adheres to hospital and departmental policies and promotes personal and departmental development through participation in development activities to improve the patient experience and quality goals of the department and hospital. Provides consultation and education to families.
  • Treat children with a variety of diagnoses, and in specialized programs on inpatient and outpatient units. Incorporates principles of cultural-competence and family-centered care into clinical services. Seeks out appropriate mentoring/training and consults with relative Clinical Practice Specialist and/or assigned mentor for complex patient diagnoses.

    • BS Occupational Therapy
  • Area of Study
    • Related field of study.
  • Experience
    • Required: Two years of professional experience as an occupational therapist.
  • Licenses & Certifications
    • Basic Life Support
    • Occupational Therapist Registered
    • Occup Ther Reg/Colorado
  • Additional Requirements
    • Within 3 months of employment Credentialing must be completed by the Medical Staff Office (MSO)
Salary Information

Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $93,627.60 to $140,441.40
