The Occupational Therapist at MUSC Children's Health evaluates and treats patients across the hospital system, from infants to older adults, developing treatment plans based on thorough assessments. Under the general supervision of the lead Therapist, you will function as a staff therapist in a dynamic clinical environment.

Responsibilities include addressing neurologic, orthopedic, post-surgical and medically complex cases in both inpatient and outpatient settings, across pediatric to geriatric

Qualifications

• Licensed in South Carolina and NBCOT certified.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Over 1 year of applicable OT experience.
• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

Job Description Summary

Evaluates and treats patients for Occupational Therapy needs. Develops treatment plans based on assessment. Under the general supervision of the lead Therapist, functions as a staff therapist. Patient populations served: infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric for a variety of diagnosis to include but not limited to: neurologic, orthopedic, post-surgical, pediatric, medically complex, inpatient or outpatient throughout the hospital system.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current South Carolina licensure and NBCOT certification required.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
• Greater than 1 year of applicable experience required.
