Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a dedicated Inpatient Occupational Therapist I for our Boston location. The role is full-time, focusing on pediatric inpatients with assessments, treatment planning, and family education.

Ideal candidates possess a Bachelor’s in OT, MA licensure, and 1–2 years of pediatric OT experience, with a strong preference for hospital-based pediatric experience. A sign-on bonus is offered and the schedule is Monday–Friday with occasional shifts.

• 1–2 years pediatric OT experience preferred; pediatric hospital-based highly preferred.
• MA OT license required.

Responsibilities

• Providing occupational therapy services to patients with physical dysfunction per departmental guidelines.
• Performing evaluations and assigning occupational therapy diagnoses.
• Developing and implementing patient treatment programs and goals.
• Preparing discharge plans and home treatment programs.
• Instructing and educating patients/families.
• Arranging follow-up services as needed.

Position Summary

We're looking for a dedicated and experienced full-time Inpatient Occupational Therapist I to join our team! This position is primarily based at our Boston location.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing occupational therapy services to patients with physical dysfunction in accordance with established departmental and professional practice guidelines, standards and protocols.
• Performing evaluations, assigning occupational therapy diagnoses
• Developing and implementing patient treatment programs and goals
• Preparing discharge plans and home treatment programs
• Instructing and educating patients/families
• Arranging follow-up services as needed

Minimum Qualifications Education:

• Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy

Experience:

• Minimum one to two years of previous pediatric OT experience preferred, pediatric hospital based highly preferred.

Licensure/Certifications:

• Occupational Therapist license in the state of MA

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
