Occupational Therapist I, Certified Hand Therapist (CHT)

Description

Location: UCHealth Anschutz Outpatient Pavilion, US:CO: Aurora

Department: OT OP AOP

FTE: PRN, 0.0, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Weekend Days

Pay: $38.72 - $58.08 / hour. Pay depends on relevant experience.

Summary: Evaluates and treats patient populations for therapy needs.

Responsibilities:

1. Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
2. Establishes a plan of care appropriate to identified problems, involving the patient/family as per their capabilities and desires. Educates about patient deficits.
3. Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services, providing information on adaptive equipment and support programs.
4. Supervises and delegates care to certified occupational therapy assistants and technicians according to laws and standards.
5. Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and minimal supervision. Must work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current licensure with Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross, valid through sixty days of hire.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT).

Preferred:

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Hand Therapist experience.
