Occupational Therapist - Home Health Visits

Join BAYADA Home Health Care as an Occupational Therapist providing home health visits throughout Southern Anne Arundel & Calvert County. We are seeking Part Time or Per Diem professionals who are available Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm.

This role involves being a vital part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering rehabilitative care and skilled nursing to help clients remain independent at home.

Responsibilities:

1. Make home visits within designated geographic areas.
2. Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ functional status, including muscle function, endurance, and ADL/IADL performance.
3. Assess cognitive, psychological, and motor performance, developing personalized intervention plans.
4. Evaluate home environments for hazards and recommend adaptations.
5. Identify equipment needs to improve client outcomes.
6. Update care plans regularly and collaborate with nursing staff.
7. Educate patients and families on rehabilitative activities to promote safety and independence.
8. Document all observations, interventions, and evaluations accurately using electronic devices.

Qualifications:

• Current Maryland Occupational Therapist license.
• Minimum one year of recent OT experience; home care experience preferred but not required.
• Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in computer skills; EMR experience preferred.
