Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy; Master’s degree preferred.
• No prior experience required.
• Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of Iowa (if waiting for exam, may practice with Temporary License under supervision)
• Mandatory Reporter
• BLS
• FIM
• Valid IA driver’s license and acceptable MVR (required for Outpt Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Contract Therapy)

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment techniques competently.
• Conducts patient assessment.
• Develops treatment plans for patients.
• Communicates relevant patient information.
• Provides education to patients and families.
• Supervises and delegates duties to support personnel.
• Supervises students and volunteers.
• Provides age-appropriate care based on patient needs.
• Adheres to safety, infection control and colleague health policies.
