Overview

Position: Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist

Location: 1731 East Hallandale Beach Blvd, Hallandale Beach, FL

Schedule: Mon - Wed - Fri

Compensation: Starting at 36+/yr. Starting hourly rate increases with experience. Plus a $2,000 Bonus

We are seeking a Part Time Hand Therapist - Occupational Therapist for our outpatient orthopedic center located in Hallandale Beach. Newly licensed Occupational Therapists with fieldwork level 2 in hand therapy (preferably with Select Medical) and experienced Hand Therapists are encouraged to apply! Join our clinical team of 4 PTs, 2 PTAs, and 1 OT treating a general ortho population. The Hand Therapist will treat various upper extremity disorders ranging from tendon injuries, sprains, strains, post-operative fractures, etc. Splinting experience is preferred. Best practices and evidence-based programs are utilized for individualized patient care.

Our locations are fully equipped to provide care to patients ranging from post-surgical, non-operative to work conditioning. You will have the opportunity to work closely with excellent hand surgeons. Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the evaluation, plan of care, treatment, re-evaluation, discharge, and appropriate communications of high-quality therapy services to patients and customers.
  • Develop treatment plans, supervise assistants and aides, contribute to case management, and provide quality patient care.
  • Maintain a positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
Qualifications
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school for Occupational Therapy.
  • National registration and state licensure or registration REQUIRED to start.
  • Occupational Therapists with a minimum of 1+ year recent hand therapy experience or newly licensed Occupational Therapist graduates with level 2 fieldwork in hand therapy.
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Valid state driver’s license.
