Select Physical Therapy in Lutz, FL is seeking an Occupational Therapist – Hand Therapist for PRN coverage at our outpatient orthopedic center.

You will evaluate, treat, and discharge patients with upper-extremity conditions, collaborating with top hand surgeons. The role emphasizes evidence-based care, patient education, and plans tailored to individual needs; splinting experience is preferred and support toward certification is available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year recent hand therapy experience required.
• CHT certification welcomed.

• National registration and state licensure required to start.

• Valid state driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat hand therapy patients, develop plans of care and oversee re-evaluation and discharge.
• Supervise assistants and aides, contribute to case management, and ensure quality patient care.
• Maintain positive interactions with facilities and clients and expand relations with staff.
• Stay current with OT research and apply evidence-based practice.

Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist (PRN)

Location: Lutz, FL

Schedule: Monday-Friday, PRN

Pay: $50/hr

Select Physical Therapy is hiring a per diem Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist for our outpatient orthopedic center. We treat a wide range of upper extremity conditions including tendon injuries, sprains, strains, and post-op fractures. Splinting experience is preferred. Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 1 yr recent hand therapy experience required. CHT welcomed.

You’ll work in a well-equipped center alongside top hand surgeons, using evidence-based practices and individualized care plans. We offer mentorship toward CHT certification and are part of a thriving national Hand Therapy program.

• Responsible for the evaluation, plan of care, treatment, re-evaluation, discharge, and appropriate communications of high quality hand therapy services to patients and customers.
• Develop treatment plans, supervise assistants and aides, contribute to case management, and provide quality patient care.
• Maintain positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
• Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school for Occupational Therapy.
• National registration and state licensure or registration REQUIRED to start.
• Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 1 year current hand therapy
• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
• Valid state driver's license
