Job summary

Magnolia Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking an Occupational Therapist to deliver resident-centered therapy services, develop treatment plans, and help residents regain independence with an interdisciplinary team in Covington, VA.

You will supervise assistants, manage documentation, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. A graduate of an accredited OT program and a valid state OT license are required to practice in this facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OT program.
• Valid state Occupational Therapist license, where applicable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic internet navigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services and optimize patient functionality.
• Screen, evaluate, and develop initial and ongoing treatment plans.
• Discharge planning, supervision of assistants and rehabilitation technicians, and case management.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing OT practice.
• Maintain effective interactions with patients, interdisciplinary team, and facility staff.
• Refer patients for treatment to assistants and provide supervision.
• Participate in utilization review, care conferences, and interdisciplinary activities.
• Develop and enhance OT programs and services to support quality outcomes.
• Ensure environmental safety, infection control, and patient rights policies.
• Maintain licensure and confidentiality of information.
