Job summary

Summerlin Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, Inc. in Las Vegas, seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist to evaluate ADL functioning and deliver goal-oriented therapy to maximize patient independence.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in OT, Nevada state OT license, NBCOT certification, and the ability to work within the VHS/UHS system including education and training resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in OT required and compliant with AOTA standards.
• NBCOT certification and Nevada OT license required.
• Experience with ADL assessment and goal-oriented treatment preferred.

Responsibilities

Summerlin Hospital is a 496-bed hospital featuring emergency services; a busy maternity department with an average of 450 deliveries per month; a Children's Medical Center with a NICU, a pediatric ICU and separate pediatric ER; advanced cardiovascular care, surgical services, women's health, and oncology care. Education

Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from a university program satisfying the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) academic and intern requirements for competence.

Experience

License/Certification

Nevada State License as a Registered Occupational Therapist. Current certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Current BLS certification.

Other

Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.

Note

May work as a Graduate of Occupational Therapy with recognition of the Board of Occupational Therapist Examiners with on-site direct supervision.
