Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in McKeesport is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our full-time team. You will provide direct patient therapy, engage in discharge planning for each patient, and supervise OTAs and students. This role emphasizes compassionate care within a world-class inpatient post-ICU setting.

The OT will monitor patient responses to treatment and participate in ongoing CE seminars and in-services, contributing to a robust clinical ladder and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist required.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in discharge planning for each patient, including placement, patient/family education and adaptive equipment.
• Supervise certified occupational therapy assistants (OTAs), as well as OT and COTA students.
• Conduct individual patient therapy regimens.
• Monitor patients’ responses to treatment.
• Participate in continuing education seminars and in-services.
