Job summary

The Springs of Mount Vista in Harrison, AR is seeking a Full-Time Occupational Therapist to join our in-house rehab team. You will deliver person-centered care to residents, develop individualized treatment plans, and coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to improve daily living activities and quality of life.

Arkansas-licensed OT with SNF experience is preferred. You will assess environments, recommend safety modifications, and educate residents and caregivers in a supportive, collaborative

Qualifications

• Active Arkansas license in Occupational Therapy.
• SNF/Long term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients to learn about their daily occupations and impact on well-being.
• Assess patient evaluations and test results.
• Develop personalized treatment plans to maximize safety and ADL/IADL performance.
• Assess home environments and advise on safety modifications.
• Provide recommendations for home modifications and adaptive equipment.
• Ensure all treatment follows the plan of care and is documented thoroughly.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust approaches with IDT collaboration.
• Educate patients, family members, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care.

Occupational Therapist Responsibilities

• Consulting with patients to learn about their physical condition and impact on daily occupations, well-being, and quality of life.
• Assessing and interpreting patient evaluations and test results.
• Developing personalized treatment plans using a variety of treatment techniques to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL).
• Assess client's home and other environments and advise on alterations consistent with their needs and capabilities.
• Provide recommendations for home modifications and adaptive equipment with training as needed.
• Ensure all treatment delivered is in accordance with the established plan of care.
• Monitor patient response to treatment intervention and modify treatment approach and directive as clinically appropriate with IDT collaboration.
• Provide clinical support and education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care is provided.
• Ensure documentation is completed thoroughly and timely and complies with all company and state/federal regulatory requirements.
• Complying with all rules, regulations, and procedures.
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.

Occupational Therapist Skills

• SNF/Long term care experience preferred.
• Current knowledge of treatment practices
• Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities.

Occupational Therapist Requirements

• Active/Valid Arkansas license in Occupational Therapy
• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
