Job summary

Mercy Hospital Logan County is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a full-time, days position delivering patient care through prescribed programs to maximize potential. Reports within Mercy’s system and adheres to state practice acts while supporting department growth.

The role requires licensure or eligibility in the hiring state, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus for qualifying candidates and opportunities to participate in ongoing training and certification.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current Occupational Therapy license or eligibility within the hiring state (may work under a temporary license up to 90 days).
• National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy is preferred.

Full-time, days, 40 hours per week

$10,000 sign-on bonus available to qualifying candidates!

Provides patient care by organizing and conducting medically prescribed programs in order to achieve maximum potential. Displays treatment skills practicing within the scope of State Practice Act and in compliance with all rules and regulations with National Board and governing bodies in the state of practice. Promotes growth and development of department by assisting in special projects and/or coordinating activities in patient care programs.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Licensure: Current Occupational Therapy license or eligibility within the hiring state, may work under a temporary license up to 90 days.
• Experience: None required.
• Certifications: Current BLS through the American Heart Association (can be provided by Mercy as part of training after starting).
• Other: Must be able to respond to emergency situations.
• Preferred Certifications: National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy.
