Job description

General Summary of Position

This is a full‑time position offering premium pay to work at all 4 MedStar Health hospitals in the Baltimore region:

• MedStar Union Memorial Hospital
• MedStar Harbor Hospital
• MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center
• MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital

Occupational Therapist (Inpatient) – provides occupational therapy services to patients, including screening, evaluation, treatment planning and implementation, re‑assessment, re‑evaluation, discharge planning, and documentation at a minimum of three locations. Participates in program planning, protocol development, and assists the team in meeting established goals.

Primary Duties

• Conduct evaluations, review history, perform assessments, document results. Develop treatment plans, explain findings, and involve patients and families in goal‑setting. Adjust care as needed.
• Accurately document patient care, including initial evaluations, progress summaries, and discharge plans. Ensure timely and appropriate follow‑up care while maintaining clear, organized records.
• Manage schedules efficiently, meet productivity expectations, and remain adaptable to department needs. Demonstrate professionalism and flexibility in various work settings.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams, hospital committees, and community outreach. Support department goals, comply with regulations, and engage in quality improvement efforts.
• Pursue continuing education, maintain professional competency, and mentor students, new staff, and volunteers. Act as a clinical instructor and assist with orientation and training.

Qualifications

Compensation and Benefits

Hiring range: $72,758 - $130,041.
