Job summary

Highlands Health and Rehab in Tennessee is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in the facility to ensure the highest quality resident care.

The role includes conducting screenings, evaluating residents, developing and implementing treatment plans, coordinating with families and the interdisciplinary team, scheduling therapy sessions, and supervising COTA while ensuring proper documentation and reimbursement practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Active TN Occupational Therapy license.
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain licensure and certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular screening of residents to determine the best intervention or treatment for each patient.
• Evaluate residents to inform and develop treatment plans; establish short- and long-term goals.
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members.
• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services.
• Perform all other duties as assigned to effectively treat patients.
• Oversee COTA as needed and ensure documentation and treatments are carried out with clinical excellence and proper reimbursement practices.

Education
