Job summary

CommuniCare Rehab in Charleston, WV is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to join our in-house rehab team at Charleston Healthcare Center. You will assess residents, develop and implement treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve quality of life.

This role offers opportunities to supervise COTAs, participate in interdisciplinary meetings, and provide person-centered care across multiple locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an Accredited Program.
• Hold a valid or pending State Occupational Therapy License.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient’s/resident’s occupational needs evaluation under physician order and develop a treatment plan in accordance with patient’s needs.
• Implement treatment plan through direct treatment, as well as education of treatment staff including therapists and other members of team involved in treatment plan.
• Provide supervision for COTAs.
• Attend/Lead interdisciplinary meetings to relay clinical findings and make recommendations to rehab team, including family education and consultation.
