Job summary

Indiana University Health System is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist to serve the South Region (Morgan, Bloomington, Bedford, Paoli). You will provide OT services addressing physical and psychological dysfunctions, employing sensorimotor, functional, educational, recreational, and social activities to help patients regain function.

Qualifications

• Requires graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program or graduation from an OT program outside the US with equivalency.
• Current license in the State of Indiana is required.
• NBCOT certification preferred; Basic Life Support certification through the AHA may be required by the department.

Responsibilities

• Provides occupational therapy services for treatment of physical and psychological dysfunctions.
• Utilizes sensorimotor, functional, educational, recreational, and social activities to aid patient recovery.
• Willingly supervises occupational therapy assistants, support personnel and students; participates in related activities in support of patient care and department operations.

Current license in the State of Indiana

This position is a Flat Rate PRN role at South Region (Morgan, Bloomington, Bedford, Paoli)

Provides occupational therapy services for the treatment of physical and psychological dysfunctions. Provides direct patient care using a variety of sensorimotor, functional, educational, recreational, and social activities designed to help patients regain physical or mental functioning. Appropriately supervises occupational therapy assistants, support personnel and students. Willingly participates in related activities in support of patient care, education and department operations.

• Requires graduation from an accredited academic program in occupational therapy, or if foreign trained, graduation from an occupational therapy education program outside the US with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA. Current certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is preferred. Requires current license in the State of Indiana. Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
