Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehablitation in Dallas, TX seeks an Occupational Therapist Fellow for a 1-year program beginning April/May 2027. The fellowship focuses on advanced practice and prepares candidates for the AOTA BCPR exam.

Fellows complete four 12-week inpatient rotations, four 1-week observational rotations, and a 3-credit course from Texas Woman’s University, co-sponsored by TWU.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited occupational therapy program.
• Valid TX Occupational Therapy License.
• American Heart Association BLS CPR required within 30 days of employment.
• Candidates with 1–3 years of OT experience desirable; inpatient rehab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Four 12-week rotations with clinical teams at our inpatient rehabilitation facility.
• Four 1-week observational rotations across the rehabilitation continuum of care.

Responsibilities

Fellowship Structure & Learning Experience

This 1-year fellowship enhances therapists’ skills in advanced-level practice and prepares them for the AOTA Board Certification in Physical Rehabilitation (BCPR) exam.

Fellows will complete:

• Four 12-week rotations with clinical teams at our inpatient rehabilitation facility
• Four 1-week observational rotations across rehabilitation continuum of care.
• One 3 credit hours course from Texas Woman’s University’s School of Occupational Therapy (co-sponsor of the program)
