Job summary

Owenton Healthcare and Rehabilitation is seeking an Occupational Therapist to deliver personalized, resident-centered care within a supportive interdisciplinary team. You will develop treatment plans, supervise assistants, and ensure compliance with regulations while promoting quality outcomes.

The role focuses on maintaining licensure, documentation accuracy, and ongoing professional development in a warm, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Valid state Occupational Therapist license, where applicable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic internet navigation.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Director of Rehabilitation.
• Provide OT services: screening, evaluation, and treatment.
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation and billing.
• Maintain patient-centered interactions with staff and patients.
• Refer to OT assistants and provide supervision.
• Supervise OT assistants and rehabilitation technicians.
• Participate in care conferences and case management.
• Develop and enhance OT programs and services.
• Ensure safety, infection control, emergency preparedness, and patient rights compliance.
• Pursue continuing education to enhance expertise.
• Maintain valid state OT licensure.
• Understand payment models and treatment guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Act ethically and professionally; perform other duties.
