Job summary

Journey Healthcare is seeking an occupational therapist to join our care team in Roberta, GA. You will help patients regain independence and improve quality of life through personalized therapy programs, working with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care.

Responsibilities include assessments, developing treatment plans, implementing interventions, and educating patients and families on daily living strategies, with a focus on coordinated care across physicians and nurses.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience in a clinical setting preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine patients’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic interventions to enhance patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional skills.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families on strategies to improve daily living skills and promote overall health.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Participate in patient care meetings and contribute to team discussions on best practices and treatment outcomes.
